Weather you can actually understand.
Most weather apps tell you what's happening. The Weather Brief tells you why. Each issue follows a real, current weather pattern over Houston and the Gulf Coast and walks you through the meteorology in plain language.
I'm a CFII based in Texas who genuinely nerds out over weather, and this newsletter grew out of a frustration I kept running into as a pilot: you can ace every weather question on your written and still have no idea why those storms are firing to your west. The theory we memorize for checkrides and the theory you actually need to understand real weather are two completely different things. This is my attempt to close that gap. No certification required to read it!
